25-01-16 Engage DTS – Kona Hawai’i

After a month of fighting for my visa, crying, and even contemplating giving up i’m finally here!

On the 7th Dec 2015 my visa was rejected in Bahamas, though God used that trip to stretch me and used me to speak into the lives of 2 people I would have never met otherwise.. I was extremely defeated. I literally wanted to give up and just said to God “Dad,  you know my deadline (one week after the 7th January, 2016).. How are we going to do this? I left EVERYTHING… This doesn’t make any sense… Father, I leave all of this to you..”

Though God specifically spoke to my heart and told me I was going to Kona, I was beginning to listen to the discouraging comments from some Christians, as well as family and friends. I began to question whether I was truly meant to go, especially when my waiver was rejected a few days before I was supposed to depart for Kona, Hawai’i.

The day I was supposed to depart, I got a phone call from a friend of mine she said, “God wants you to try again.. This time you will get through..” I was like, what? try what again? lol. Then through a dream, He confirmed to me that He wanted me to try for a visa one more time.. Fearing another rejection I reluctantly did, and 45 mins after my application was submitted, my interview was expedited! (they usually get back to you within 2-3 days)  The original date for my interview was set for the 2 Feb but it was expedited to a week from the day of my application submission. (the exact day he showed me in my dream!!!) God blessed me with a place to stay for free in Jamaica, and even sent me to the right consular officer ( Even though I wasn’t in her line ). She ended up approving me on the spot because several of her friends were former missionaries with YWAM! ← Can I get an AMEN??!!!!

This is the start of my second week here in Kona, Hawai’i and it has been a life changing one already! God has been challenging me to see myself for who I really am, and has started the process of healing me from my deepest fears and insecurities. He is moving me into a place where I am content in Him and Him alone. Being here has been such a blessing to me so far. I am honestly not the same person I was when I first came here… I can’t wait to see the change in myself after these 6 months!

We just found out our outreach will be in North Africa and the cost of our outreach will range from anywhere between 5,000 to 6,000 USD. Which includes airfare, accommodation, and living expenses.  I am asking for support through prayers and donations as we have to make a 2,500 deposit by the 4th February.

Please prayerfully consider making a donation of $100 or more towards my outreach fund.
