Garden of Roses

There were times when I struggled with conforming to what society considers beauty to be, and what a woman should really be like. You know… the whole i’m a “bad chick” thing *super ghetto voice*”I’m independent, I ain’t need no man…” *rotates neck & snaps finger in a Z just cause*

During one of those moments, God gave me an insane revelation and said, “you are my rose, my delicate flower. I didn’t create you to be like everyone else. I created you to be a rose in a garden filled with weeds..” it was as if instantly my eyes were opened… He went on to say, “have you ever seen the roses of the garden become insecure and want to be like the lilies or the daisies of the field?” I said “No.. I haven’t” He paused and in such a gentle and loving way, he said “Then why do you think I created you to be like someone else? I created you in such a unique way… That what you bring and what you have to offer to this world is so much different from what anyone else could ever bring.”

& if you know me, you knpraism soo dramatic.. So I was like… “Dang Daddy………..” He totally woke me up! lol

Thing is, He didn’t just wake me up to my own brokenness.. He opened my eyes to the brokenness off the women and girls of this world….

It’s heartbreaking that most females wear their brokenness as a badge of honor. . And it’s so common that now, it’s almost like guys desire the broken more than they do a sound and stable woman.

Because this is so widely accepted and so widely promoted, most females don’t ever see the need to change or better themselves. They live in a cage of insecurity, hatred, and fear.. So hardened to the reality of their heart’s cry that they wreck the lives of everyone they come into contact with and even those closest to them. They bulldoze their loved ones and everyone they meet and refuse to see how much damage they are doing.. They long for wholeness and hunger for security.. They desire peace yet, no matter what they do they can’t attain it. . A peace & wholeness that only God above can give you..

My hearts cry is for women today is to stand up and go against the grain.. Go against what society’s version of beauty is and walk in the beauty God has given you…

Proverbs 31:25-31

25 Strength and dignity are her clothing,
and she laughs at the time to come.
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom,
and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
27 She looks well to the ways of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women have done excellently,
    but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands,
and let her works praise her in the gates.
